Full details of the Ledbury Big Breakfast now available

French Toast at the Market House Cafe 2016

Ledbury again celebrates our wonderful local food with the 6th Ledbury Big Breakfast taking place on Friday 26th, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th January. 19 local venues in and around Ledbury will be taking part on one or more days in this event organised by Ledbury Food Group to celebrate our local food and drink producers and retailers and breakfast.

This year we welcome for the first time the Mama Bake-well Café and the Malthouse Café and Gallery, and welcome back many old friends in Ledbury and District.

Everyone has again excelled themselves with breakfast specials for this event featuring the widest range of local produce. For breakfasts with a difference why not try creamy mushrooms, poached eggs with crushed avocado and smoked salmon, potato and chorizo hash, cider baked ham, parsnip leek and potato cakes, savoury and sweet scones, roasted basil infused tomatoes with mashed avocado, or avocado salsa with poached eggs.

All the favourites are there too including Eggs Benedict and Eggs Florentine, porridge served with all kinds of accompaniments, French toast with bacon and syrup, breakfast pancakes, breakfast stacks and an old “traditional” – devilled kidneys. Of course, there are plenty of opportunities too for those who want a full “Herefordshire” English breakfast.

Our butchers – Gurneys and Wallers – are putting together special breakfast items to celebrate the Ledbury Big Breakfast for you to take away and enjoy, and our delis will feature a range of local produce to taste and take home to make a special breakfast.

We list here full details of the specials available, where and when. Some venues will also offer their normal breakfast menu and some will have vegan and vegetarian options.

Visit the Country Market at St Katherine’s Hall on Friday to discover the local products they sell.

Sadly, Ledbury Refugee Support are not able to run a special breakfast in this weekend. They hope to be able to do so in the Spring.

If you want to find out more about the Ledbury Food Bank, you can visit them between 10am and 11.45am on Friday at St. Katherine’s Hall.

Things get very busy on the Saturday morning – if you see something or somewhere you fancy please book in advance where possible to avoid disappointment. This year more places are open for business on Sunday.

For a rural breakfast, consider those taking part outside Ledbury Town.
