About Us

Interested in food and drink and where it comes from?
Like to find out more about locally produced food and drink?
Like to find out where you can buy it? Or how it is produced?

Ledbury Food Group brings together dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers with a passion for local food and drink. We help customers get a better appreciation of where their food comes from and engage with local policy makers to make sure the importance of our local food economy is represented. We support the recommendations of the CPRE report ‘From Field to Fork’ and the Herefordshire Food Strategy.

From the fruits of the land to traditional cider and perry, rare breed livestock, artisan food producers and much more we help you discover the local ‘heroes’ who produce our food. You can meet them at food fairs and markets, farm visits and open days, on organised walks and bike rides and at special food events.

We connect producers, retailers and consumers to encourage the availability of local food. Buying locally helps protect our rural landscape, sustains the heritage of our market town and boosts the economy of the area. We are proud of Ledbury’s numerous independent food outlets which include four butchers, three greengrocers, two specialist drink retailers, several delicatessens as well as cafés and restaurants serving locally sourced food.
