Farmers’ Market Thursday 1st August – It’s All About Taste

Alice Walters, of the famous Chez Panisse in Berkeley California, had her “epiphany” moment in Brittany some 50 years ago when she ate a meal in a simple restaurant and wondered why everything tasted so delicious. Everything came from the local market that morning. Back home she couldn’t create that taste until she searched out vegetables, fruits, fish and meat direct from the producer. Based on local, fresh and mostly organic, she set up one of the most successful restaurants in San Francisco.

In Ledbury, you don’t have to go out to find local producers!

They come to you at our new Farmers’ Market and you can experience the taste of really fresh, really local foods. Why don’t you take something home and taste the difference? It’s no more expensive than some supermarkets or local shops. Or eat while you are at the market, and maybe dare to try something new! Chat to the producers and bring your friends to enjoy our buskers and drinks from the bar too. Find us at the Barn on Thursday from 6pm till 8 pm in St Katherine’s Ledbury.
