Ledbury Allotment Association invites you to an illustrated talk by Charles Dowding on the theory and practice of no dig gardening. It’s a method Charles has used for over thirty years to grow vegetables that are often ready earlier and are easier to grow than those grown on traditionally dug or rotavated soil. There is less ground preparation, less mud sticking to boots and less weeding.
Charles’s quarter acre of intensive vegetable beds at his Somerset home crops more than £20,000 of salad and vegetables annually, which he sells to local shops and restaurants.
Charles has written eight books, which will be on sale during the evening, including his new Vegetable Garden Diary which has advice for every week of the year.
“Charles is a passionate and accomplished gardener who grows vegetables of amazing flavour”
