New premises for Gurneys Family Butcher

Paul and Johnny Gurney in their new shop

Gurneys Family Butcher has moved to newly fitted and much larger premises in the Homend, enabling them to have on display a full range of local meat and meat products.

Paul Gurney welcomes the greater space of the new premises which features an open plan butchery area behind the shop counters.

“We will be very pleased to welcome customers new and old to our fabulous new premises in the Homend which continues a tradition of quality meat and homemade products. We have the same quality range as before supplied by the same local producers plus our own home cured bacon.”

Gurneys have moved from one shop with a very long tradition of being a butchers in the High Street to another with a strong butchery tradition in the Homend, most recently Llandinabo Farm Shop.

It’s great to see such investment by a local independent business in our High Street – we wish Paul and his team every success.

Our butchers are an important part of our local food economy – do use them!
