Aldi are seeking planning permission from Herefordshire Council for a new store in Ledbury to be located outside the town on land next to Galebreakers on the New Mills Industrial estate. It’s the day for this year’s Ledbury Celebration of local food and drink, music and poetry.
Last year 35 local and artisan food and drink producers joined us for this special event. Our visitors were able both to purchase a wide range of the best of local food and drink to enjoy straight away or to take home, and to listen to live music and poetry while soaking up the celebratory atmosphere. We welcomed Karen and Sara from the national Breakfast Week campaign to this year’s Big Breakfast. Ledbury is the only town where the whole town gets involved with Breakfast Week and while they were here they made a promotional video to encourage participation in the event.
The video features Dave Waller, Heather from the Market House Cafe, Andy Ward from the Talbot, James from Llandinabo Farm Shop and Penny from the Nest. Our apologies to those we did not have time to visit and to anyone who participated but is not featured.
