Ledbury Food Group is launching a new Thursday Evening Farmers’ Market with a difference at The Barn in St Katherine’s on Thursday 4th July. The Market will run monthly on the first Thursday of each month, from 6 to 8pm.
There will be a bar – open until late, music and snacks to eat-in as well as provisions to take home. Stalls on 4th July will include freshly harvested organic vegetables, cakes and savoury pastries baked on the day, meats prepared specially for this market, charcuterie, pork pies, cheeses, chilli products, jams/chutneys, raw milk and ready meals.
At Ledbury Community Day on 8th June, Ledbury Food Group’s stand focused on the area’s Farmers’ Markets in Woolhope, Bosbury, Malvern, Kempley, Newent and the Friday Country Market in Ledbury. We at the Ledbury Food Group are delighted to be starting a brand new farmers’ market in Ledbury.
Farmers Markets offer the freshest quality food directly from local farmers and producers with the opportunity to chat to them about their produce. Consuming locally produced foods helps the environment by reducing food miles and plastic packaging, it supports the local economy, and our towns and villages. Organic producer John Davenport uses the UK’s first fully compostable food bags. Biodiversity and sustainability are important to small-scale farmers. They generally use fewer chemicals and preserve hedgerows and wild flowers for birds, insects and animals.
